When I was in my 20s, I was in a band. We were a garage band. We never made a nickel but we sure had fun with our music. We did mostly covers. One day I got notice our lead guitarist was in the hospital. She had attempted to end her life but fortunately someone had gotten to her in time. While she was in the hospital and once she was back with us, we took on one of her favorite songs as one of our lead songs. We always made sure to include this one. It quickly became one of my favorite songs. You know the kind...it reaches out and pulls you into its arms...snug and secure. To this day, whether I am singing the song or I merely hear the song, the words bring back those feelings of remembering to just take a step back and go back to what you know to be true. I am at a point like that in my life. I need to step back and remember what it was that was true to me. I need to make some changes. It's time for a Cool Change.
